Never take looking out the window of a plane for granted

Travel. When I was 8 I got stung by a jelly fish. Since then I've been busy getting stranded overseas and being homeless in multiple countries. I've skateboarded across a good chunk of Australia and Canada. I've given out bags of clothing and the clothes off my back in slums in South America. I've been chased by some guy with a machete through an abandoned castle on the coast of Margarita Island. I've missed a flight to Florida and road tripped to New York City instead. I have been registered as a missing person, stuck in South America with the Canadian Embassy looking for me thinking I was kidnapped or dead. Instead I was just stuck in some trashy building in Caracas in a room with cockroaches, no windows or hot water, being fed bread and ketchup by some old lady that didn't speak English. I've slept in parks, parking lots and gutters in countless little towns across Australia, and outside of a giant submarine in Holbrook. I've road up mountains in the back of a dodgy pickup truck in Venezuela. I've skated a park built into the shape of a shark on Bondi Beach. I've hopped on random trains and ended up across Canada more than a few times. I've been so lost that I've actually had to ask what province/state I was in. I've slept outside on beaches and concrete on the other side of the planet, looking up at stars and bats and never loved life more.

Travel. It will make you challenge anything and everything you've ever thought or been taught about this world and the people in it. Don't just read about it in a book or on the internet, go for a walk and see it for yourself.

More Australia
