Weather any storm
After spending the past 3 or 4 years essentially homeless or on the road, I'm going to be moving into a room in a couple weeks. I'm even going to have my own door to the room. I'm excited about that. If I could sum up the polar opposite highs and lows of a couple years of life on the road, it would be that some days are incredibly beautiful, and other days you want nothing more than to scream and cry your everything into just about anyone's arms (Except there are never any arms). Most days I just bury myself in work and don't think about a thing. I think the best days in life are the days you don't have to worry about life at all. But its all par for the course I suppose.

The road is life
Not much to show for it all, aside from pictures that I seem to be smiling less and less in.

Impermanence
While lost, brushing my teeth in the Vancouver rain, wandering around and running into friends from all over the world, I've come to realize my life is just a series of random happy accidents.
I am temporary.

Oh, Canada
Apparently I got back to Canada just in time to watch Toronto burn down.
Somehow I ended up watching a lot of this from about 30 feet up on a roof from where the photo was taken. I would give photo credit for the above picture if I could remember where it even came from. I can, however, give credit to the violent G20 protesters. Thank you for protesting the obscene cost of security ($1 billion dollars) by breaking/burning things, which in effect somewhat justifies that cost and will consequently cost the city that much more for repairs and replacing all the cop cars you burned. Sorry to everyone actually standing up for something they believed in and who's voices were lost amongst all the chaos.
Graham, Hayden and Ryan (and Justin Bieber) made a video during the mess.
I try to keep life simple by drawing on things.

Never take looking out the window of a plane for granted
Travel. When I was 8 I got stung by a jelly fish. Since then I've been busy getting stranded overseas and being homeless in multiple countries. I've skateboarded across a good chunk of Australia and Canada. I've given out bags of clothing and the clothes off my back in slums in South America. I've been chased by some guy with a machete through an abandoned castle on the coast of Margarita Island. I've missed a flight to Florida and road tripped to New York City instead. I have been registered as a missing person, stuck in South America with the Canadian Embassy looking for me thinking I was kidnapped or dead. Instead I was just stuck in some trashy building in Caracas in a room with cockroaches, no windows or hot water, being fed bread and ketchup by some old lady that didn't speak English. I've slept in parks, parking lots and gutters in countless little towns across Australia, and outside of a giant submarine in Holbrook. I've road up mountains in the back of a dodgy pickup truck in Venezuela. I've skated a park built into the shape of a shark on Bondi Beach. I've hopped on random trains and ended up across Canada more than a few times. I've been so lost that I've actually had to ask what province/state I was in. I've slept outside on beaches and concrete on the other side of the planet, looking up at stars and bats and never loved life more.
Travel. It will make you challenge anything and everything you've ever thought or been taught about this world and the people in it. Don't just read about it in a book or on the internet, go for a walk and see it for yourself.

More Australia
I'm back in Toronto for now! Come get tattooed.

Rainbow-laser-shooting unicorn
Proof that I am still alive.
Although I might not be for much longer if I keep running around on cliffsides when I can't sleep.
Art gallery!
Life is tough as a penguin in the museum.
If this gigantic animal was alive today and I saw it in the wild all I would want to do is cuddle it.
Raptors look more real with my poor, blurry photography skills.
More tattooing after daily adventuring. I will eventually finish this two-headed rat when Darren stops screaming and/or comes to Canada some day.
The epitome of awesome.
